Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen insists there is still plenty to play for despite the club's commanding lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

The Hoops could move 24 points clear of nearest rivals Aberdeen with nine games remaining if they can get a win away to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Friday.

It would leave the Glasgow giants just two wins way from retaining the Scottish Premiership title.

Neil Lennon's side have suffered early exits in both cup competitions with Championship side Morton knocking them out the League Cup and Aberdeen ending their Scottish Cup hopes.

But despite their dreams of a domestic treble being over Norwegian midfielder Johansen says the Celtic players are determined to win the title in style by putting on a show in their remaining matches.

"A lot of people are saying there's nothing more to play for but I don't think so. The competition to get into the team is hard and if you want to play, you have to play well every game," Johansen said.

"You have to entertain the fans -- they pay week in, week out to come and watch you. Football is an entertainment business and you need to entertain them.

"We lost our last away game but we want to win the rest of them this season and the team is good enough to do it. We have to keep up the hard work.

"There is a pressure to entertain. A club like Celtic should -- the people who watch us have not come to see 11 guys playing in 30 metres of the pitch. They want to see us attacking and I like that style.

"In Norway a lot of teams don't play that way but my former team did try to. One of the reasons I wanted to come to Celtic was that I had seen some of their matches and they play the football I want to play. I can improve my game here."

Celtic, who have lost just once this season in the league, will be without James Forrest and Nir Biton for the match after the pair picked up knocks while on international duty with Scotland and Israel respectively.

On Saturday, Dundee United will attempt to get back to winning ways following their midweek defeat to St Johnstone when they host St Mirren at Tannadice, Partick Thistle will try to move away from the play-off spot when they welcome Hibernian to Firhill and St Johnstone take on Ross County at McDiarmid Park.
