Germany's Bellarabi to miss France, Holland friendlies

Germany will be without Karim Bellarabi for their forthcoming international friendlies against Euro 2016 hosts France and the Netherlands after the winger suffered a hamstring injury, his club Bayer Leverkusen announced Sunday.

The world champions play the French at Stade de France on Friday, then host Holland four days later in Hanover, but will be missing Bellarabi, who has deep bruising in his left hamstring.

The 25-year-old, who has won 10 caps for Germany, suffered the injury in Bayer's 2-1 defeat at home to Cologne on Saturday in the Rhine derby and he will remain in Leverkusen to receive treatment after undergoing an MRI scan on Sunday.
