Spain's Isco out of England friendly

Real Madrid midfielder Isco has pulled out of the Spain squad for the upcoming European champions' friendlies against England and Belgium to a muscle strain.

The 23-year-old didn't take a full part in training on Tuesday and was released from Vicente del Bosque's squad after undergoing a scan on Wednesday, the Spanish Football Federation said in a statement.

No replacement has been called up in his place.

Club teammate Sergio Ramos and Atletico Madrid's Juanfran had been forced to withdraw from Del Bosque's original squad due to injury.

Indeed, Isco joins a mounting list of Madrid players to skip international duty ahead of their huge clash with Barcelona on November 21.

As well as Ramos, Keylor Navas, Marcelo and Karim Benzema haven't travelled with their respective international sides due to injury.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos have been handed a rest

Spain host England in Alicante on Friday before travelling to face the world's number one ranked side in Belgium on Tuesday.
