Bayern bolster defence with Spartak's Tasci

Bayern Munich have reinforced their injury plagued back-line by taking German international Serdar Tasci on a six-months loan from Spartak Moscow, the Bavarian club said on Monday.

With Javi Martinez, Jerome Boateng and Medhi Benatia all out injured Bayern coach Pep Guardiola has just one fully-fit centre-back in Holger Badstuber.

A Bayern club statement said that the 28-year-old with 14 international appearances and a 2007 Bundeliga title would "be in a position to help out straight away thanks to his experience and skills."

Tasci has been at Spartak since 2013 and as he is under contract until June 2017 they took a 2.5 million euros ($2.8 million) fee for his loan and want a further 10 million for a permanent switch in June.
