Andre Ayew missing from Ghana squad, Kwarasey back

The injured Andre Ayew is missing from the Ghana squad named by coach Avram Grant on Wednesday for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Mozambique later this month. The Swansea City player is sidelined with an ankle injury, but Portland Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey returns to the squad for the first time since the 2014 World Cup. Ghana are top of Group H after two games in the qualifying campaign for next year's finals in Gabon. The Black Stars have a maximum six points after wins at home to Mauritius and away to Rwanda. They face bottom side Mozambique at home in Accra on March 24 and away in Maputo three days later.
