Anton Mirancuk's first-half equaliser earned 10-man Lokomotiv Moscow a share of the spoils in a hotly-contested Moscow derby with Dynamo on Friday.

The 1-1 stalemate put Dynamo in fourth, six points adrift of league leaders Zenit St Petersburg, who visit promoted Orenburg on Sunday.

Defending champions Lokomotiv remain eighth, one point further back.

"Some of our players lacked energy after the international break," Dynamo head coach Dmitry Khokhlov said. "Probably that's why we've failed to grab all three points today."

Portuguese midfielder Miguel Cardoso headed Konstantin Rausch's assist from the left to give Dynamo a fifth minute lead.

Polish international Grzegorz Krychowiak had a clear chance to draw Lokomotiv level but his powerful eight-yard shot was blocked by Dynamo right back Sebastian Holmen.

Lokomotiv got their equaliser after 32 minutes when Anton Miranchuk tapped a ricochet into the empty net after Dynamo goalkeeper Anton Shunin parried Krychowiak's header from the edge of the six-yard box.

Lokomotiv's hopes of earning all three points were hampered in the 66th minute when Krychowiak was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Despite picking up steam Dynamo failed to capitalise on their numerical advantage due to a combination of poor finishing and the sterling efforts of Lokomotiv keeper Marinato Guilherme.

"It was a very difficult game especially after we've been reduced to 10 men," Lokomotiv manager Yury Syomin said. "But even after that we defended well and replied on the counter. I believe the draw is the fairest result."
