European football's governing body UEFA plans to introduce an anti-doping "biological passport" in the Champions League starting next season, a top official said Thursday.
"We believe that the biological passport is innovative and reliable and it's also a legally tested anti-doping tool which will help to increase the efficiency of our anti-doping programme," said UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino after a meeting of the body's executive committee in Nyon, Switzerland.
