Leaders Kaizer Chiefs clicked in the South African Premiership for the first time since a mid-season break to trounce Moroka Swallows 3-0 Wednesday in wet Soweto.

After one win, two draws and two losses, Chiefs finally recaptured the form that created a 15-point Premiership lead at the halfway stage.

While the convincing victory at a rain-lashed Dobsonville Stadium kept them eight points ahead of second-place Mamelodi Sundowns, Swallows' woes continued.

The once-mighty Soweto outfit are second last, only five points above AmaZulu having played one game more.
