Germany coach Joachim Loew says the world champions are set to promote some of their rising Under-21 stars for their friendly against the USA and European qualifier against Gibraltar.

Germany host Jurgen Klinsmann's Stars and Stripes in Cologne on June 10, then play a key Euro 2016 qualifier against minnows Gibraltar three days later in Faro, Portugal.

Poland also host Georgia and Ireland are at home to Scotland in Group D the same day Germany play bottom side Gibraltar and Loew's side has a golden chance to pick up three valuable points.

After struggling in their opening qualifiers with a shock defeat to group leaders Poland and a home draw with Ireland, Germany are second in the table behind the Poles by just a point.

Although Germany will send their juniors to the European Under-21 Championships in the Czech Republic from June 17-30, Loew is tempted to plunder talent from the junior squad for the senior team's internationals.

The likes of Under-21 talent Emre Can of Liverpool, Schalke's Max Mayer or Hoffenheim's Kevin Volland could find themselves called up to the senior squad.

Several of Loew's senior Germany stars will have begun their summer holidays before the two internationals.

For others, the season will only have finished after the German Cup final on May 30 between Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg, the same day Mesut Ozil plays the FA Cup final at Wembley for Arsenal against Aston Villa.

"The timing of the dates isn't ideal, but we have known that for a long time," Loew told DFB.de.

"The season will just have finished for some players the weekend before, for those involved in either the German Cup final in Berlin or the FA Cup final.

"For some young players it will be better for them to come into the senior squad, while for others it will be better to continue their developement at the European Under-21 Championships.

"The Under-21s will take a strong squad to the Czech Republic and the senior team will have a motivated and good squad for the games against the USA and then take three points against Gibraltar."
