More shoulder woe for goal scorer Ramos

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos paid a heavy price for his sensational overhead kick to open the scoring against Sevilla on Sunday as he caused more damage to a long-running shoulder injury.

Ramos landed on his left shoulder as he acrobatically volleyed the ball into the far corner after 22 minutes and was replaced soon after by Raphael Varane.

The Spanish international suffered a dislocated shoulder in a 4-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk nearly two months ago.

Since then he has been kept in reserve by coach Rafael Benitez only for Madrid's toughest fixtures.

However, he was included by Vicente del Bosque for Spain's upcoming friendlies against England and Belgium, for which his participation is now in doubt.
