On-loan Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile struck from the spot and assisted Andrea Belotti's brace as Torino got back to winning ways with an entertaining 4-2 win over Frosinone on Saturday.

Immobile expressed his delight upon his return to the Granata for a six-month loan spell in midweek and the aspiring Italy international did not disappoint in an impressive return to the club he left in 2014 for Dortmund.

Torino won a penalty inside the quarter-hour when Davide Bertoncini brought down Polish defender Kamil Glik.

Despite being ordered to retake his initial effort for an infringement by another player, Immobile coolly beat Nicola Leali at the second attempt with a carbon copy of his first penalty.

Minutes earlier Leali had produced heroics to keep Daniele Baselli's effort off the line and it was soon apparent Immobile's return was having a positive impact.

Frosinone have been in the relegation zone all season but the visitors levelled in style just after the half-hour when Paolo Sammarco rose to meet Daniel Pavlovic's delivery from the left to send a glancing header past Salvador Ichazo and into the top corner.

Torino restored their lead minutes later when Leali spilled Immobile's header from the edge of the box and Belotti was quick to pounce from a yard out.

Giampiero Ventura's men had lost their last three league outings including a 2-1 defeat to leaders Napoli, but were finally firing on all cylinders.

Belotti grabbed his second four minutes before half-time to give Torino a 3-1 lead.

Although Danilo Avelar turned into his own net on 73 minutes following a close-range flick-on by Sammarco, Torino wrapped up the win eight minutes from the end thanks to Marco Benassi's strike.

Torino moved up to 11th place to sit 16 points behind leaders Napoli, who lead Inter Milan -- held 1-1 away to Atalanta earlier -- by one point ahead of hosting Sassuolo later Saturday.
