Arshavin considers future after quitting Kuban Krasnodar

Andrei Arshavin has quit Kuban Krasnodar by mutual consent, the former Russian international skipper and Arsenal star admitting he was now considering his future.

The 34-year-old forward had played nine matches for Kuban since joining the club last July, but a release was agreed with six months to run on his contract.

Arshavin said there was no one reason behind his decision to leave the club.

"If I get an offer from another club I would definitely consider it. If not, I will just call time on my career," he was quoted as saying by the R-Sport agency.

Arshavin, who also previously played with Zenit, won three Russian titles, two Russian cups, the 2008 UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup with the St Petersburg club.

He has scored 17 goals in 75 matches for the Russia's national squad.
