Chiellini to miss three weeks through injury

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has been ruled out for three weeks with an groin injury, the club announced on Monday.

Chiellini picked up the injury in Saturday's 1-0 win over Empoli, being substituted just 54 minutes into his return from a month on the sidelines because of a right calf problem.

According to Juventus, he suffered a strain to the right side of his groin and will be out for about 20 days.

The Turin club are six points clear at the top of the Serie A table with just seven games left after second-placed Napoli's defeat at Udinese on Sunday, with a fifth consecutive title now looking likely.
