Fit-again Fekir set for Lyon comeback

France international Nabil Fekir is set to make his return from a seven-month injury lay-off after he was named in Lyon's squad for Friday's trip to Montpellier in Ligue 1.

Fekir played 45 minutes for Lyon's reserve team last weekend as he stepped up his recovery from a serious knee injury suffered while on international duty back in September.

"He will be in the squad. He had no pain in his knee after his game with the reserves on Saturday," said Lyon coach Bruno Genesio.

"To have Nabil back for the final push is good for us but you can't be too demanding right away. He's going to need to rediscover his rhythm as he gets back to 100 per cent," added goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.

Lyon can move level on points with second-place Monaco with a victory at Montpellier, with the principality side not in action until Sunday's trip to Lille.
