Hungary's 40-year-old goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly became the oldest player to feature at the European Championship when he was named in the starting line-up for Tuesday's Group F match against Austria in Bordeaux.

Kiraly, famous for wearing tracksuit trousers on the pitch, will eclipse the previous record held by Germany's Lothar Matthaus who was 39 years and 91 days old when he appeared against Portugal at Euro 2000.
