Italy international goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis has left Serie A's Roma and signed a one-year deal at Monaco, the French Ligue 1 outfit said on Wednesday.

The 39-year-old played 84 times over the past three seasons with Roma but will now serve as back-up at Monaco to Croatian international Danijel Subasic.

Tightening up at the back, Monaco also signed 21-year-old left-back Benjamin Mendy on a five-year deal from Marseille and the highly rated Polish international central defender Kamil Glik from Torino.

Colombian striker Radamel Falcao has also returned to Monaco after two mediocre seasons on loan at Manchester United and Chelsea.
