Concern for England, Spurs as Kane limps off at Bournemouth

England striker Harry Kane limped off just half an hour into Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League visit to Bournemouth on Sunday to compound an already disappointing week for Spurs.

Still reeling from crashing out of the Champions League to Juventus in midweek, the visitors went behind early on at the Vitality Stadium to Junior Stanislas's seventh minute strike.

Kane appeared to damage his ankle when he was caught by Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic when putting the ball in the net, but the flag had already been raised for offside.

England manager Gareth Southgate is set to name his squad on Thursday for friendlies against the Netherlands and Italy later this month.

Those games will be Southgate's last chance to experiment before naming his 23-man squad for the World Cup in Russia.

Kane has scored 35 goals in all competitions for Spurs this season.

However, Mauricio Pochettino's men showed they are far from a one-man team as Dele Alli equalised just a minute after Erik Lamela replaced Kane.
