Twelve European-based players in extended Tunisia World Cup squad

Tunisia named an enlarged pre-World Cup squad of 29 players, including 12 based in Europe, on Tuesday, although injured striker Youssef Msakni was a notable absentee.

The Carthage Eagles have until June 4 to reduce their squad to the 23 players that will make the trip to Russia ahead of the June 14 start of the tournament.

Tunisia will face England, Belgium and Panama in Group G.

Before then they will take on Portugal and Spain in friendlies on May 28 in Braga and June 9 in Russia.
