Benfica snap up Funes Mori

Argentine attacker Rogelio Funes Mori has left River Plate to sign for Benfica on a five-year contract, the Portuguese giants announced on their website. "When I was invited to come here, I couldn't refuse because it is the biggest club in Portugal, known worldwide," said the 22-year-old, who added that he turned down offers from elsewhere, including from Portuguese champions Porto. Cameroon's Bong joins Olympiakos

Cameroon international left-back Gaetan Bong has left French club Valenciennes to join Greek champions Olympiakos. Valenciennes president Jean-Raymond Legrand told AFP that Bong had signed a three-year deal after Olympiakos paid a transfer fee of "just over one million euros ($1.34m)". The 25-year-old had been at Valenciennes since 2009. (AFP)

Ghana midfielder heads for Russia

Ghanaian international midfielder Mohammed Rabiu has joined Russia's Kuban Krasnodar from Evian-Thonon-Gaillard, the French club confirmed. Rabiu, 23, has signed a three-year deal with Kuban, who are due to face Feyenoord in the Europa League play-offs. He had moved to Evian in 2010 from Udinese, helping them win promotion to Ligue 1 in his first season and then featuring in last season's French Cup final, which Evian lost to Bordeaux. (AFP)

Promising full-back signs for Belgian champions

Belgian champions Anderlecht have confirmed the signing of left-back Fabrice N'Sakala from French side Troyes on a three-year deal. Capped at under-21 level by France, N'Sakala had been sidelined by Troyes after stating his wish to leave following their relegation from Ligue 1. (AFP)
