Leicester moved five points clear at the top of the Championship with a 1-0 win over Leeds, while promotion rivals Reading thrashed Bolton 7-1 on Saturday.

A Charlie Austin double took QPR up to second place in the second tier with a 2-1 victory over Huddersfield at Loftus Road.

Austin opened the scoring by finishing emphatically on 55 minutes after Clint Hill's lofted ball forward had been flicked on by Niko Kranjcar and then Andy Johnson.

The Terriers looked set to secure a point when recent signing Nahki Wells levelled midway through the second half, heading home a cross from Adam Hammill.

But Austin's header with 12 minutes remaining from Benoit Assou-Ekotto's right-wing corner proved decisive.
