Luongo, Sainsbury out of Australia's WC qualifier

Midfield star Massimo Luongo and Trent Sainsbury have been ruled out of Australia's World Cup qualifier against Kyrgyzstan with injuries, Soccer Australia said on Saturday.

Luongo, the star player of the Asian Cup in January, has an ankle injury, while defender Sainsbury is unavailable with a hamstring injury.

Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou has replaced them with uncapped players Daniel de Silva and Croatia-based defender Tomislav Mrcela.

The Asian Cup champions take on Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek on June 16.
