Zlatan Ibrahimovic was named amongst the substitutes as the Los Angeles Galaxy prepared to take on Los Angeles FC in their Major League Soccer derby on Saturday.

The 36-year-old Swedish star, who joined the Galaxy from Manchester United earlier this month, only arrived in California on Thursday night.

However the veteran striker has indicated he is fit and ready to play a part for the Galaxy as they face expansion side LAFC in their first city derby.

The former Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Ajax, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Juventus striker has not played since appearing in a game against Burnley in December.
