Four clubs fall foul of financial fair-play

Four clubs that took part in this season's Europa League have been referred to UEFA's Financial Fairplay (FFP) adjudicatory chamber over unpaid bills.

Turks Bursaspor, Ekranas of Lithuania, CFR 1907 Cluj and Astra Giurgiu, both from Romania, have breached FFP "monitoring requirements", UEFA said.

They are accused of having "important overdue payables towards other clubs, employees and social and tax authorities".

Of the four, only Astra Giurgiu are still in the competition, having surprised Lyon to reach the group stages.

The adjudicatory chamber is set to make a decision on their cases before the end of the year.
