Cuadrado hits out at Chelsea in Juve stay bid

On-loan chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado launched his bid to make his Juventus loan move permanent after complaining he was given little opportunity at Stamford Bridge.

Cuadrado joined the Italian champions on a one-season deal at the start of the campaign after making only a handful of appearances for the Blues under Jose Mourinho following a move from Fiorentina for a fee in excess of £20 million in January 2015.

He has since flourished for the Bianconeri and after setting up Paulo Dybala for a 36th minute strike that secured a 1-0 win over Sassuolo to open up a provisional six-point lead on Napoli, Cuadrado said: "I'm happy to have come back to Italy.

"Here, I'm happy, in Serie A I feel like my game is excelling and I really feel at ease. My future is not up to me, we'll see in the summer."

Asked by media what went wrong at Chelsea, the Colombian international added: "When I got there, the squad was already really tight and solid.

"I don't think I was given enough opportunity to show what I can do, but that's football. I'm happy to be back being a protagonist with Juventus."
