Argentina boss Alejando Sabella recalled Gonzalo Higuain and Fernando Gago at the expense of Hugo Campagnaro and Maxi Rodriguez as the two-time winners look to seal their place in the World Cup last 16 with a win over Iran.

Higuain and Gago made a positive impression as second-half substitutes in the 2-1 win over Bonsnia and Herzegovina in the Argentinians Group F opener and Sabella has bowed to pressure from captain Lionel Messi to switch to a 4-3-3 system.

Sergio Aguero will complete a fearsome front three alongside Messi and Higuain, whilst Gago will sit in midfield next to Javier Mascherano who makes his 100th appearance for his country.

Iran coach Carlos Queiroz meanwhile made just one change to the side that started their campaign with 0-0 draw against Nigeria in Curitiba on Monday as Masoud Shojaei replaced Khosro Heydari in midfield.
