Olympics: Rio Olympic football draw at Maracana

Rio's mythic Maracana stadium is the venue for the 2016 Olympic Games football competition draw on April 14, FIFA announced on Tuesday.

The United States and Colombia meet this month in a play-off for the 16th and final place amongst the men.

The winner will join South Africa, Algeria, Nigeria, Iraq, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Denmark, Portugal, Sweden, Honduras, holders Mexico, Fiji, Argentina and hosts Brazil.

The 12 women's teams will be split into three groups. Seven countries have already qualified - Canada, holders United States, New Zealand, Germany, France, Colombia and Brazil.

The remaining five teams will be known on March 9.

The women's competition kicks off the Games on August 3 at Rio's Olympic stadium.

Matches will also be staged at 2014 World Cup venues Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Manaus, Salvador and Sao Paulo.
