Japan floored by Bosnian hitman Duric

Bosnia-Herzegovina exposed Japan's glass jaw Tuesday as giant forward Milan Duric struck twice in a 2-1 victory to earn the visitors the Kirin Cup title.

Japan took the lead after 28 minutes in Osaka when Hiroshi Kiyotake scuffed a shot into the roof of the net after a driving run from Takashi Usami.

But Duric equalised directly from the restart, drilling home from close range after the Bosnians caught the Japan defence napping with a long ball.

Bosnian captain Haris Medunjanin curled a long-range free kick against the crossbar in first-half stoppage time as Japan's rear line began to creak under sustained pressure.

Duric struck again after the interval, the hulking striker finishing from an acute angle after 66 minutes as the away side capitalised on more sloppy Japanese defending.

Japan thrashed Bulgaria 7-2 last Friday, while Bosnia reached the final of the four-team friendly tournament by beating Denmark 4-3 on penalties.

Earlier, Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen netted a hat-trick as Denmark thrashed the sorry Bulgarians 4-0 to take third place.
