German central defender Antonio Ruediger has been ruled of Roma's Champions League last 16, second leg clash against Real Madrid on Tuesday because of a right thigh injury, the Italian club announced.

Ruediger will be sidelined for "around two weeks", said the Serie A club in a statement.

Roma go to Madrid on Tuesday trailing 2-0 from the first leg.
