Bale returns as Madrid eye quarters

Welsh star Gareth Bale is handed his first start for over six weeks as Real Madrid look to seal their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League at home to Roma on Tuesday.

Madrid already hold a convincing 2-0 lead from the first leg and are close to full strength with only French striker Karim Benzema absent due to injury.

James Rodriguez starts alongside Bale and the Champions League's top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo in attack for the Spanish giants in Benzema's absence.

Former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko starts up front in an attack-minded Roma selection from Luciano Spalletti with the Bosnian supported by the in-form Diego Perotti, Stephan El Shaarawy and Mohamed Salah.
